Estimate your monthly payment from the Enhanced Social Security program based on your earned and unearned income and number of dependents, following the formula adopted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

The calculation formula

Calculated income = (earned income × 50%) + unearned income in full. The minimum calculated threshold (payment ceiling) = SAR 1,320 for the head of household + SAR 660 for each additional dependent. Estimated pension = the difference between this threshold and the calculated income, if positive.

The SAR 1,320 and 660 figures reflect the increase applied since the November 2023 payment (a 20% raise to the base threshold). This is an unofficial estimation tool — the only authorized source for your actual entitlement is the official Social Security e-platform.

FAQ

Why is only half of earned income deducted, not all of it?
The system encourages work by only counting half of earned income toward eligibility, unlike unearned income (like rent) which counts in full — incentivizing beneficiaries to take jobs without losing all their support.
What's the maximum income that disqualifies eligibility?
For an employee with only earned income and no other income, the threshold is roughly double the household's minimum calculated threshold, since the system only counts half of earned income in the calculation.
